The Salvation Army held its 10th Annual “Hope Fore Kids” Golf Classic at The Glen Club in Glenview on Sept. 3. The full day tournament included a golf clinic hosted by professional golfers, followed by lunch and golf with a shotgun start. The 128 golfers enjoyed a variety of contests and prizes, and the event culminated with cocktails, dinner ,and a live auction and awards program.

The event attracted 128 golfers from Chicagoland’s business and philanthropic communities and raised nearly $200,000 toward The Salvation Army’s youth programs, which include child care, before-school and after-school programs, art, music and educational instruction, emergency shelter, character-building programs and other recreational activities.

The tournament is a major source of funding for Salvation Army youth programs.
