Dillard shows integrity
I just wanted to express my thanks to Sen. Kirk Dillard, R-24th of Hinsdale, for sponsoring legislation ending the corrupt General Assembly scholarship program. By sponsoring this legislation, Dillard is demonstrating his high level of integrity and his true commitment to doing what is right.
For years, this program has been used as a tool to pay back political supporters. Ending this misused program will save taxpayers more than $13 million dollars a year. This money belongs to the people of Illinois, not in the pockets of political cronies.
