Lyons Township students qualify for state competition

LA GRANGE
Fifty-eight members of the Lyons Township High School Business Professionals of America recently competed in regional contests and 42 qualified to compete at the state level.
Winning students qualified for state competition in multiple categories: 24 students will advance in individual events, another five students will advance in two individual events, five students will advance in one individual event and one team event, and 13 students will advance in a team event. LT earned 10 first-place finishes, 12 second place finishes and six third-place finishes. The state competitions will be held in February. The students are led and coached by business teachers Kimberly Gerken and Jennifer Steele.
