Careers in Action
Cool cars, hot haircuts, firefighting, robot battles, and all types of hands-on, career-oriented activities are part of TCD Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Technology Center of DuPage, 301 S. Swift Road in Addison. The center is the career and technical education campus open to all DuPage area high school students, including those in districts Hinsdale 86, Lyons 204, and Elmhurst 205.
The programs offer juniors and seniors dual credit (high school and college) and preparation for college and a career. The Expo highlights 21 elective career programs, including the new, state-of-the-art medical sciences, criminal justice, and engineering labs. Expo activities feature a stock and stock-modified car and motorcycle show; preschool art activities and book fair; salon services; and demos in firefighting, robotics, culinary arts, and more.
