Duane Bradley of Lemont has been removed from the ballot in his bid to unseat Senate Republic Leader Christine Radogno in the March 20 Republican primary for the 41st Illinois Senate District.
The Illinois State Board of Elections ruled Jan. 9 in favor of a challenge to Bradley’s nominating petition. Michael DeVivo, Homer Township highway commissioner, filed an objection Dec. 5, contending Bradley submitted only 300 of the required 1,000 signatures.
The action leaves Radogno unopposed in the Republican primary, and no Democrat filed to challenge her in the general election.
Bradley ran unsuccessfully in April in a 10-way race for one of four seats on the Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A Board.
The 41st Senate District includes parts of Burr Ridge, Indian Head Park, La Grange and Western Springs.
Attempts to reach Bradley were unsuccessful.
