Western Springs police blotter for Aug. 13

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Western Springs

ALCOHOL

Joseph F. Kern, 18, of 717 S. Madison Ave., La Grange, was cited at 1:47 a.m. Aug. 8 for consumption of alcohol by a minor after police saw him walking near Burlington and Franklin avenues and questioned him.

Christopher V. Beck, 20, of 4437 Dubois Ave., and Sean J. Davy, 19, of 4414 Blanchan Ave., both in Brookfield, were cited at 2:01 a.m. Saturday for consumption of alcohol by a minor after police saw them acting suspiciously near a closed business and questioned them.

Grant A. Casey, 18, of 743 68th Place, Willowbrook, Edward G. Gengo, Jr., 18, of 1141 Birth Lane, Western Springs, and Sean J. Kelly, 18, or 4546 Clausen Ave., Western Springs, were cited at 11:30 p.m. Saturday with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police saw them hiding behind a tree at 53rd Street and Caroline Avenue and interviewed them.

Two 17-year-old Western Springs boys were cited at 12:11 a.m. Sunday for consumption of alcohol by a minor after police responded to a call concerning suspicious activity near 44th Street and Woodland Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Someone damaged a fence at 12:05 a.m. Aug. 9 at a home on the 4500 block of Central Avenue. The repair cost is estimated at $40.

THEFT

Power tools valued at $11,540 were reported stolen between 10:45 and 11 a.m. Aug. 7 in an unlocked construction truck parked near 48th Street and Wolf Road.

Indian Head Park

DOMESTIC

John R. Studniarz, 25, of 3244 S. Wallace, Chicago, was arrested at a home on the 7200 block of South Wolf Road at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 9 and charged with violating an order of protection.

Robert Miglore, 70, and James A. Miglore, 44, both of 6538 Laurel Ave., Indian Head Park, were charged with domestic battery for an incident at the home about 1 p.m. Aug. 8.
