Western Springs police blotter for June 19

Western Springs
MOVING VIOLATION
Gilberto Perez, 43, of 2752 Springfield Ave., Chicago, was cited at 6:54 p.m. Sunday for speeding and driving without a license during a stop on the 1000 block of Ogden Avenue.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Someone scraped with a key the side of a Mustang parked on the 4900 block of Gilbert Avenue, it was reported at 8 a.m. June 14. The cost of repairs isn’t known.
THEFT
Someone fraudulently opened a Comcast cable account in the name of a resident of the 5400 block of Lawn Avenue. A $1,000 loss was reported.
Indian Head Park
ANIMAL COMPLAINT
Theresa A. Manuele, 38, of 5 Tanglewood Court, Indian Head Park, was issued a citation for having her dog at large. A woman reported Manuele’s chihuahua attacked her the morning of June 3 in a driveway on Tanglewood Court. The dog allegedly bit the woman’s leg and hand. The woman said she had to jump into the bed of her son’s pickup truck to avoid getting bit more.
The police reported the victim had puncture wounds on her hand and leg. After learning the chihuahua and Manuele’s other dogs did not have current vaccinations, the police notified the victim and confirmed that Manuele had made an appointment with a veterinarian to get her dogs vaccinated. Her court date for the citation is June 28.
HARASSMENT
A resident reported June 11 that she had received 20 to 25 text messages and 10 ot 15 voicemails from people responding to an ad on Craigslist, offering a free dolly. The woman said she did not place the ad and was working with officials from Craigslist to find out who posting the ad.
