Western Springs Police Blotter for May 21

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Western Springs
ALCOHOL
Carl L. Rocconi, 53, of 9027 22nd Place, North Riverside, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. May 17 and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and speeding, following a stop at Ogden and Clausen avenues.
Ian C. Richards, 18, of 4024 Harvey Ave., Western Springs and a 17-year-old La Grange boy were cited at 11:50 p.m. Saturday for possession of alcohol by a minor, when they were stopped at Spring Rock Park on the 1300 block of Burlington Avenue.
BURGLARY
Someone entered an unlocked garage on the 4300 block of Grand Avenue between 9 a.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Sunday and stole a woman’s bicycle. The estimated value of the bike was not available.
An alarm system was activated at 4:35 a.m. Sunday in a vacant home on the 4000 block of Western Avenue, when someone allegedly tried to pry open a basement window. Entry wasn’t gained, and an estimated cost of the damage was not provided.
MOVING VIOLATION
Mario Cosme, 25, of 302 Wentworth Ave., Sandwich, was cited at 1:24 p.m. May 15 for driving on a suspended license during a stop on the 3800 block of Lawn Avenue. Cosme was also taken into custody on warrants for various charges from Kendall and DeKalb counties and the Aurora Police Department.
