Western Springs Police Blotter for May 14

Western Springs
ALCOHOL
Frank E. Messino, 42, of 4525 Wolf Road, Western Springs, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use during a stop at Ogden Avenue and the Tri-State Tollway.
DISTURBANCE
Michael Madonia, 54, of 7404 W. 59th St., Summit, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Sunday and charged with violating an order of protection in connection with an incident at 3:45 p.m. May 9 near 51st Street and Gilbert Avenue. Police said there was no physical altercation reported.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A concession stand door was reported damaged at 5:09 p.m. Friday in Spring Rock Park on the 1300 block of Burlington Avenue. The incident likely occurred between May 10 and Friday.
THEFT
Laura M. Bennefield, 26, of 316 Bruce Road, Lockport, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. May 9 and charged with retail theft stemming from an incident at 12:21 p.m. April 2 at the Dominick’s food store at 47th Street and Gilbert Avenue.
Someone stole a 16-foot fiberglass ladder from a backyard on the 5300 block of Grand Avenue between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The loss is estimated at $160.
