Western Springs police blotter for April 23

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of area police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

ALCOHOL
Daniel P. Dugan, 23, of 5036 Wolf Road, Western Springs, was cited at 1:30 a.m. April 18 for contributing to the delinquency of a minor during a stop at 47th Street and Wolf Road. A companion, Jeffrey R. Tosch, 20, of 5906 Pershing Ave., Downers Grove, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Four teens were cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor at 11:03 p.m. Saturday after they were seen in a car after hours at Spring Rock Park on the 4600 block of Central Avenue. Cited were a 15-year-old Burr Ridge girl, a 16-year-old Willow Springs girl, a 15-year-old Western Springs boy and a 15-year-old Indian Head Park girl.
BURGLARY
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked outside Boone Animal Hospital, 905 55th St., and stole $190 cash between 7 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. April 18.
Two cars were broken into at 9:17 a.m. Friday at the Western Springs Recreation Center, 1500 Walker St., and diaper bags was reported stolen. An iPhone and cash valued at more than $300 were reported missing from one car, and a cell phone valued at $50 and credit and identification cards were reported stolen from the other. In both cases a window was broken to gain entry.
MOVING VIOLATION
Rene Rivas, 41, of 1931 S. Carpenter Ave., Chicago, was cited at 7:53 a.m. April 18 for driving without a license, driving without proof of insurance and without a valid commercial safety test sticker displayed during a stop at Clausen Avenue and 47th Street.
THEFT
Someone broke into a locker at Lyons Township High School, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, and stole athletic equipment valued at $350 between 6 p.m. April 18 and 3 p.m. April 19.
Indian Head Park
No activity was reported for the week ending Monday.
