The Girl Scouts Prairie Flower Service Unit, which is composed of Girl Scouts troops from La Grange and surrounding communities, planted an evergreen on Arbor Day, April 27, in Denning Park to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts USA. A time capsule, which included photos and notes from troops throughout the service unit area, was buried next to the tree, and is scheduled to be retrieved in 25 years.
