Western Springs police blotter for Jan. 15

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Western Springs and Indian Head Park police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Western Springs

MOVING VIOLATIONs

William R. Wallin, Jr., 63, of 4135 Harvey Ave., Western Springs, was cited at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 7 for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having an expired registration after his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at Ogden and Clausen avenues. Wallin and the woman driving the second vehicle were transported to Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.

McHale Park Nelson, 20, of 5111 Clausen Ave., Western Springs, was cited at 8:08 a.m. Jan. 11 for having an unattended vehicle after he allegedly exited a Toyota Sequoia in his driveway without putting it in park. The vehicle rolled back out of the driveway onto the street and struck a speed limit sign. Nelson and a male passenger weren’t injured in the accident, even after Nelson attempted to turn the vehicle, which was later towed.
