COUNTRYSIDE — Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle will speak at a West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry breakfast meeting Jan. 28.

The Toast With The Most event will be from 8-10 a.m. at the William Tell Holiday Inn, 6201 Joliet Road, Countryside.

Preckwinkle will be introduced by McCook Mayor and Cook County Commissioner Jeff Tobolski!

Chamber leaders praised Preckwinkle’s leadership in announcing her visit, specifically citing a transformation in quality, responsiveness, intelligence and committee from senior county staff, particularly the Bureau of Economic Development and Director of Planning and Development Maria Choca Urban.

They also noted she kept a promise New Year’s Day, when the sales tax was rolled back again, dropping it to 9.25 percent from 10.25 percent under former President Todd Stroger.

Admission to the event, which includes continental breakfast, is $20 for Chamber members and $25 for nonmember. For tickets call (708) 387-7550 or email kristenh@wscci.org.
