The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Western Springs and Indian Head Park police departments. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
Western Springs
ALCOHOL
Kelley E. Brennan, 18, of 847 8th Ave., Allison M. Otto, 20, of 5705 S. Blackstone Ave., and a 17-year-old girl, all from La Grange, and Henri F. Joyal, 19, of 4534 Clausen Ave., Western Springs, were cited at 2:09 a.m. Jan. 1 for consumption of alcohol by a minor during a stop on the 4600 block of Clausen Avenue.
Steven J. Heilenbach, 19, of 4439 Clausen Ave., and Nicholas J. Scarpaci, 18, of 21 Burlington Ave., both from Western Springs, were cited at 1:40 a.m. Jan. 6 for consumption of alcohol by minors and disturbing the peace, after police were called to a disturbance on the 3800 block of Forest Avenue.
Indian Head Park
ALCOHOL
Arthur Nigoghossian, 20, of 10711 5th Ave. Cutoff, Countryside, was charged with illegal possession and consumption of alcohol at 12:40 a.m. Dec. 30 on the 6900 block of South Wolf Road. An officer saw Nigoghossian and a companion leave the 7-Eleven store, at 6925 Joliet Road. The clerk who sold the pint of brandy, Leonard A. Studniarz, 29, of 7211 S. Wolf Road, Indian Head Park, was charged with unlawful sale of liquor to a minor. Studniarz said the customer showed him a state ticket to prove he was at least 21, but the police said only a drivers license or picture identification card is acceptable as proof of age.
An officer reported seeing a group of girls at the intersection of Osceola Trail and Cochise Drive at about 1 a.m. Jan. 1. One said they were waiting for their parents to pick them up, but two of the teenagers ran south behind the houses on Osceola. The officer found one girl, Anna Marie Wiesemann, 18, under a patio table on the 1200 block of Tecumseh Lane. Wiesemann, of 8145 Scenic Drive, Willow Springs, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor after the officer found a bottle of wine and a can of beer in her purse.~~.
