Lyons Township High School students rally for Special Olympics teams

LA GRANGE — Cheers greeted the shots and plays of three Special Olympics basketball teams in games Dec. 18 at Lyons Township High School.
LT’s Gold Team took on Riverside-Brookfield High School, and the Blue and White teams competed against Oak Park-River Forest High School teams in the north campus fieldhouse.
The LT Best Buddies Club, which pairs students with and without special needs for activities throughout the school year, collected ticket fees and helped organize a contest during each of the three half times for entrants to attempt a half-court shot and win a T-shirt.
