Indian Head Park seeks property tax bump

INDIAN HEAD PARK — On time collections are making a difference in the bottom line for the village.

Treasurer Steven Busa said Indian Head Park revenue for July was $554, 698, and expenditures were only $264,639. The total amount in all the village funds at the end of the month was almost $1.6 million.

“It sounds like a high number, and part of the reason is that property taxes were collected on time,” Busa said. “In August, we should see another pretty big number, and then from that point on, we should see the fund balance steadily decrease over the next several months.”

The August financial report was not available by the Sept. 13 board meeting.
