Crash with injury shuts down Wolf Road

Western Springs paramedics transported two persons to area hospitals following an accident on Wolf Road at Ogden Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Fire Chief Patrick Kenny said one person appeared to have minor bumps and bruises, but a second accident victim suffered more serious injuries. Firefighters from La Grange assisted at the scene.

“It’s slippery out there and easy for cars to pick up a little extra speed,” Kenny said.

With a steady snowfall since early afternoon, motorists appear to be driving with extra caution, he said.

“We’re keeping our fingers crossed, accidents will be down during this storm,” he said.

Emergency responders shut down Wolf Road early Friday afternoon after the accident with injuries at the intersection with Ogden Avenue.
