Boy Scout supporters celebrated their future at the annual Holiday Radiance Ball on Dec. 3 at the La Grange Country Club in La Grange.
Celebrating the second century of scouting, the gala is not only a major fundraiser for the Boy Scouts Des Plaines Valley Council but also a way to thank supporters and join together in fellowship.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour while perusing the silent auction items which included a two-week stay at a condo in Fort Myers, Fla., a three-month membership at a fitness club and various dinner packages at local restaurants and entertainment venues.
A formal dinner was followed by music and dancing to the tunes of the Shout Section Big Band.
The Des Plaines Valley Council is based in La Grange and offers programs for youth in 43 western and southwestern suburbs, including Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Exploring and Learning for Life.
