Six file for four spots on District 107 Board

BURR RIDGE — There will be competition for the four open seats on the Pleasantdale District 107 School Board.
Four seats on the seven-member board will be filled at the April 9 election. Running for those seats will be incumbent Mark Mirabile and newcomers Michael Hawbaker, Kim Barker, Doug Gilman, Greg Sengpiel and Kristin Violante.
Barker, Gilman, Sengpiel and Violante are running as the Focus on the Future ticket.
Monday was the first day to file papers for candidacy. Candidates have until Dec. 26 to get on the April 9 ballot.
