WESTERN SPRINGS — The Western Springs Senior Center hosted a luncheon Friday honoring military veterans.
Veterans from all branches of the military serving at home and abroad were invited to the Grand Avenue Community Center, 4211 Grand Ave.
“The invitations read, ‘Let Us Serve You as You Have Served Us,’” said organizer Mic Cagney at the senior center.
The Western Springs VFW Post 10778 is scheduled to observe Veterans Day at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Grand Avenue Community Center.
